Kongu Engineering College (KEC) established in 1984, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi is an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University Chennai, has completed 30 years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. Its Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell (EMDC) won Best E-Cell, Entrepreneurship Eco System Builder Award 2015 from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at New Delhi, India.

The Department of Management Studies regularly undertakes consultancies, organizes conferences, Faculty Development Programmes, Management Development Programmes, Workshops and training programmes. The Department of Management Studies has won Gold medal from Association of Indian Management Schools in August 2015 for its social responsibility activities conducted under AIMS National Management Week.
